Who We Are
Founded by Michael and Olivia Viator in 2022, Renovate Ballet was born out of a desire to see hearts renovated for eternity through the art of dance. The Viators are passionate about redeeming the arts for the glory of the Lord and for the advancement of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They challenge dancers to pursue excellence in their art form; pairing strong ballet technique and artistry with a faith-based message to reach audiences through theatrical and thought provoking performances.
The ministry began as a pre-professional program, which later grew into a non-profit professional touring company, a Trainee Division, and a Conservatory.
With a desire to bring edification and encouragement to the Church and to reach those who have not yet surrendered their lives to the lordship of Jesus Christ, the mission of the company is to travel to the outermost parts of the world to share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ using the tools of dance, relatable story-telling and personal testimony.
WORSHIP - “all of who we are responding to all of who God is.”
Worship is the heart of who we are and is the driving force of all that we do here at Renovate. What is seen onstage is not a performance. It is an outpouring of our inner being declaring the magnificence and holiness of our Savior. It is movement inspired by thankfulness for what He has done in our lives. It is deep intercession on behalf of our audiences. It is a performance for an audience of One for the glory of One.

teach dancers and our audiences that the visual art form of dance is a gift from God and should be given back to Him as worship. Dance is a powerful tool to share the Gospel to those around the world as it breaks through the barriers of language.

train dancers to work with excellence for the glory of God in all that they do, whether on or off the stage. Be used by God above all else; to be willing vessels in whatever shape or form He desires to use us, as a company and as the body of Christ.
MEANING BEHIND "RENOVATE"
"RENOVATE" (verb) - to renew, to restore, to make new again.
The Greek translation (anakainoo) is used in the New Testament to convey the idea of restoration and transformation, often in a spiritual or moral sense. This renewal is typically associated with the inner self and mind, indicating a profound change that aligns with God's will and purposes. It emphasizes the transformative power of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer, leading to a new creation in Christ.
The Heart of Renovate Ballet is for every artist, staff member, and individual we come into contact with to have open hearts to the saving work of Jesus Christ that He may renovate every part of their being by the power of the Holy Spirit.
